Normal play consists of players acquiring the amiibo card of a villager they are interested in and using it to transport the villager to their island's campsite. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the fifth major installment in the Animal Crossing series, and it will be released in March 2020. Unusual glitch discovered while trying to use an amiibo card in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as documented in a Reddit post by u/hush-sh. As might be expected, the beginning of the video shows the player interacting with the Nook Terminal at Resident Services. The player uses the amiibo option at this location to transport the Cub villager Marty to their island in the same manner as they would normally. The game acknowledges that a card has been pressed against the NFC touchpoint on the player's Nintendo Switch, and the screen then turns completely black. When Marty doesn't appear on the screen, a cat villager named Bob appears instead. Not only is this the incorrect villager, but Bob introduces himself as '!' and is not dressed appropriately. Following this shocking revelation, the clip comes to a close with the audience unable to look away from this peculiar moment.
Using an amiibo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a straightforward process in most cases. This item can be obtained in real life, and then taken to one of a few locations in the game to summon it, including Resident Services, Harv's Island, and the Roost café. As demonstrated in this instance, these cards can occasionally be misread by the game, resulting in bizarre outcomes such as this.
When it comes to animal crossing buy items, obtaining each and every villager that a player desires on their island can be a time-consuming endeavor. Villagers appear at a player's campsite at random, and with hundreds of villagers available in the game, it can quickly become frustrating for the player. However, amiibo cards are always available for those players who wish to speed up the process by purchasing them in advance. Despite the fact that they incur an additional cost, these can significantly shorten the duration of what would otherwise be a lengthy journey. Everyone can agree that this is an odd time to be playing football, regardless of how they feel about them.
